Question: Does my baby need to wear a hat?
Answer: Babies generally only need to wear hats in cold environments, or going outdoors during colder months. Always remember that babies generally need to wear one more layer than you to keep warm outside. So if you are considering wearing a hat, your baby will probably need one too! It is unsafe for babies to wear hats when they sleep. They may be a choking hazard or cause overheating. However, baby hats and headgear such as bonnets, headbands and beanies can be adorable parts of baby attire, as long as they are used safely and kept away from their mouths.
