Question: What should I do if my baby is bored?
Answer: Babies don’t get bored like adults; babies have a strong desire to keep learning and exploring. If babies seem bored, they do not necessarily need to be given new toys. They may just want a chat with you! You could pick them up and show them what is going on in other parts of the house, explaining to them what they are seeing. Many parents also find that they can keep their baby stimulated with toys they make themselves, such as ‘discovery bottles’: water bottles filled with exciting objects and water that babies can shake and move around. Just make sure the bottle is robust and secure enough to prevent your baby opening it.
